Consortium for Land Research and Policy Dialogue (COLARP) is a non-profit making research-based organization registered with the government of Nepal under the Company Act 2063. It was established in 2007 with senior and young professionals who are regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized and have long research and developmental experiences. COLARP is an alliance of universities (Department of Development Studies, Kathmandu University and Department of Geography, Tribhuvan University) and research/knowledge/advocacy-based institutions, (Community Self Reliance Centre-CSRC, Nepal Centre For Contemporary Research -NCCR, Nepal Institute of Development Studies – NIDS) to generate evidence for informed policy debate and decision-making process on land and other natural resources.

Details Internship Description/ Requirements
COLARP is providing an opportunity to young graduate (Research Intern) who is willing to build her carrier in the area of land and natural resources, climate change and disaster risk reduction, gender equality, and social inclusion (GESI), logistics, and management including creative event and media. The research intern will be directly involved in the ongoing projects of COLARP.
Major responsibilities:
- Assist in a research proposal, research report, and policy brief development.
- Preparation of meetings, workshops, seminars.
- Update website and social media.
- Provide logistics supports in program and finance.
Required Skills
- Interested in research and learning in the field of GESI, land and natural resources and climate change, disaster risk reduction, and management
- Fluent in English writing, reading and speaking.
- Have good computer skills on Microsoft office packages such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc. (SPSS Skill will be an advantage)
- Proactive, open-minded, highly responsible, and supportive
- Drive scooter/motorbike will be an advantage
Education: Master running or fresher’s (Development Studies, International Cooperation, and Development Studies, Community Development, Gender Studies, Human and Natural Resource, and other relevant programs)
