Mr. Dhanej Thapa, Executive Director of COLARP, recently spoke at the Karnali Education Expo, addressing the urgent need for localized and practical agricultural education in the region.
He emphasized that a practical, entrepreneurship-driven agricultural education system—rooted in local realities—can be a game-changer for self-reliance, youth employment, and inclusive economic transformation in the region.
He also stressed the need to keep agriculture education independent of political influence at the university level, and called for updated, locally relevant curricula paired with hands-on vocational training to better serve the people of Karnali.
