Overall objective of this research project is to understand Dalit’s position in REDD++ in three piloting districts of Nepal. In line with this, specific objectives are set as below: i) to examine the process of REDD considering position of Dalit and their exclusion; ii) to analyse existing policies about how Dalit communities will be benefited from the REDD++ project; and iii) to identify existing gap between policies and practices in context to REDD++. After undertaking this action research, the following expected outcomes are expected to take place: i) enhanced awareness among Dalit community, agency and concerned stakeholders and started to claim their right ii) sensitized policy makers and intellectuals started to address this issues, and iii) Inclusive policies will address the concerns of marginalized community. At the end, Dalit community will be benefitted through the claiming, sensitizing and capacity building. Baryi jan 19251977 .
